PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: 

This program is designed to introduce our youngest students to Jiu-Jitsu, as well as help them develop agility, flexibility and coordination. The curriculum includes fun games and interactive drills that teach basic Jiu-Jitsu movements and beginner techniques, ensuring a strong foundation and better understanding of our art, while maintaining his/her interest and keeping it enjoyable for your youngster. Instructors also promote and reinforce strong core values through simple and easy-to-follow methods.

Kids 4-6yrs old Program

Program goals:

- Increase self confidence
- Increase Self esteem

- Fundamental

We believe that by focusing as much of our attention on what happens “inside” of the child as we do on the ”outside,” we can give our STANCE Kids the mental and physical tools they need to effectively deal with any of life’s adversities and challenges not only as kids, but for the rest of their lives.

Kids 7-11yrs old Program

Program goals:

- Instil self-discipline and personal responsibility
- Develop physical awareness and coordination
- Build strength, speed and balance with specific exercises
- Increase the situational and positional sparring
- Use goal setting as a method for self improvement

- Good behaviour and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to focus in a group setting
- Basic jiu jitsu positions and techniques
- Building confidence and communication skills

Program levels:
- level 01 (basics)
- level 02 (intermediate)

In the 7-11 year old program, students will develop a better understanding of sparring and how to apply the techniques. this program has a diversity of levels (01, 02 ) and the instructors will group the students based on their experience and goals.

TEENS 11-15yrs old Program

Our Teens Program in Woolwich, is the final and most critical stage of our youth curriculum. Designed as a bridge between the kids and adult classes, this program focuses on equipping students with the confidence, technical skillset, and self-discipline they will need to excel in Jiu-Jitsu and adulthood.

While we continue to reinforce respect, focus, and communication, the primary goal of this phase is to establish a strong technical foundation and develop real-world problem-solving skills through sparring and goal setting.

How It Works Classes accommodate a diversity of skill levels. Instructors group students based on their experience and goals to ensure appropriate challenges. The curriculum is divided into three distinct levels of progression:

Level 01: The Basics (Foundations)

  • Focus: Introduction to core techniques and sparring safety.

  • The Experience: New students receive dedicated guidance from an instructor during their first lesson to ensure a smooth start.

  • Goal: Students remain here until they are comfortable with basic positions and sparring mechanics. We respect individual learning speeds—there is no rush, only progress.

Level 02: Intermediate (Technical Development)

  • Focus: Advanced techniques, emotional control, and "specific training" scenarios.

  • The Experience: Classes shift focus from general exercises to technical drilling and sparring strategy. Students learn to control their emotions under pressure and communicate effectively to ask technical questions.

  • Goal: To achieve a high technical standard or demonstrate strong competition performance.

  • Adult Transition: Students in this level who turn 14 may request permission to transition into the Adult Fundamentals Program.

Level 03: Advanced (Competition Team)

  • Focus: High-intensity training, competition scenarios, and elite mindset.

  • The Requirements: This class is reserved for students committed to a minimum of 2 training sessions per dayand consistent tournament participation.

  • The Experience: Instructors emulate competition environments to test composure and work ethic. This level demands outstanding discipline and performance.

The Path to Adulthood While this program runs up to age 15, students may begin transitioning to the Adult Program at 14 years old with instructor permission, provided they demonstrate the necessary maturity and technical ability.

Ranking System We follow a structured belt system to mark progress and set tangible goals:
